Born in Riverside California on January 8, 1991. He was raised by his mother (Barbara Griffin) and his step-father (Aaron Lee). YungMii is the youngest of 5 siblings (3 sisters and 1 brother). At the age of 8 years old YungMii became homeless with his parents. While living on the streets, YungMii developed a talent for writing poetry. At the age of 9 years old, he began reciting his poetry in the gang infested city of L.A California. Nearly after 4 years of being homeless, YungMii finally met his grandmother and she moved him to Huntsville Alabama. At the age of 13 years old, YungMii started to write music about his traumatic life. In fact YungMii released his first song called “Champ is here”. YungMii graduated High School in 2009 and later YungMii sold over 1,000 copies of that one song in just the first month. In 2011 YungMii released his first mixtape called Ironman. That same year YungMii finally got on the radio (103.1) with a song he helped produce and write called “All Star Beaming”. After High School, YungMii decided to go to school to become a lawyer. Once YungMii received his Associates Degree, he decided to enlist in the U.S. Army to help pay for his school also the cost of studio time. In 2013, YungMii was called to go to war in Afghanistan.Yungmii took this opportunity to promote his mixtape in different countries like; Belgium, Afghanistan, Africa, Germany, Poland and Canada. YungMii was released from the U.S. Army due to an investigation in Kuwait. In 2014 YungMii released his “Gov” song which got banned from the U.S due to the lyrics he displayed. Now in 2015, YungMii is signed to a label called Boing Campaign and plans on going on tour with his fellow musicians and continue to make his name known.
